So - it's almost Thanksgiving and I am just now getting around to putting something new online! Well, aside from the fact that I remain busy at my real job, I don't have much excuse. We're working on next year's UltraMidwest events and I am planning modifications to the UM site, and time just flies!
One thing I have to show for my tardiness is the new tables that are now included in the Big Dog leader boards - totals for the previous month are now posted automatically so you don't have to wait for me to get around to it anymore. Of course, the new format lacks the style of my spieling the stats in sportswriter cadence - but it makes it easier for me. and thats what these here infernal computers are for ain't it?
Looks like there is a new contender in the ranks, who is Grover anyway? He started adding comments to his logs now - so I hope that alleviates some of the qualms of those who suspected that we were being invaded by velobots!
Only about a month to the last/first Hellweek of the year. Gator Country is scheduled and on track and I plan to be there this year. So put away those tights and get to the Sunshine State. Nick is only producing 3 events this year, Gator Country, Texas Hellweek and Wisconsin's Cheese Country. Let's get to the Badger State and find out why we say its Tougher than Texas!
By the way, I have what I think is a mid 70's Gitane Tour de France frame and fork with what appears to be the original crankset. Green paint is rough and the original foil stickers are in bad shape. Anyone interested in this piece of ****, I mean this piece of cycling memorabilia?
Quote of the month (October):
Heres your German omelet, in an Albanian resturant, cooked by Mexicans, and served by a Hillbilly!
